I have grown up on the Inside Passage on sailboats my whole life, and have been an Eco-Tour/Whale watching/Grizzly bear guide, and Captain for over 25 years out of the Campbell River area. I have explored the entire East Coast of Vancouver Island from Victoria, Vancouver areas to N/W and past Port Hardy.
Also spending a season in Tofino on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, Whale watching/Bear guiding.

Campbell River Excursions we offer full service personalized excursions for small groups of up to 8 passengers. Our local area the Discovery Islands is often busy with Humpback Whales, Transient or Biggs Orca, and some of the most beautiful scenery on the East Coast of Vancouver Island. Our Transport Canada Certified gear keeps you warm, dry (as can be!), and ready for your Whale Watching experience!
Throughout my 20+ year career in the Eco Tour, Whale and Bear viewing industry locally I have seen quite a few changes. one of the biggest changes I think is the turn away from the smaller more intimate tours. Most companies will try to get the most passengers aboard the vessel that they can, and be locked to a schedule no matter what the wildlife says. This tends to take the personal touch away from the tour.
Campbell River Excursions differs in the smaller scale, more personal touch. Staying at 6-8 passengers allows a more intimate experience for my clients. I enjoy this lifestyle/job and it shows in the client feedback that I have received over the years.
Job #1 for me is customer satisfaction, as this leads to the best advertising ever!
